David L. Milner Photography

Congratulations to all Brides and Grooms to be! While you are planning for your bid wedding day, please consider the following safety tips for your honeymoon vacation.
  • Pack your bags yourself and check with airline on luggage and weight limits
  • If going to another country, have a valid U.S. Passport
  • Check with U.S. Embassy or Consulate for how long you can stay in host country without a visa
  • Report anything suspicious at the airport to security personnel
  • Keep carry on bags and luggage with you at all times--unattended items may be confiscated and destroyed--always have a reliable person by your carry-ons
  • Report any suspicious activity to flight attendants during flight
  • If uncertain what to declare upon arrival to another country ask a flight attendant
  • At arrival to another country, have all hotel information and telephone number in case customs or local law enforcement officers may request this information
  • Preferably take a hotel shuttle--saves money and safer—ask your travel agent
  • Ask travel agent about international driver’s license when driving overseas
  • When renting a car, especially overseas, inspect the car on the following locations for anything suspicious: under vehicle, trunk, under hood, front/back of tires etc. Report anything suspicious immediately to car rental and airport security
  • At overseas locations, especially third world countries, travel in groups is best and especially at night time--carry passport/visa with you at all times
  • In third world countries, have wallet, passport and keys in your front pockets-- keep back pockets empty at all times--hold your purse and bags securely, not near a major street and far from the streets as possible to prevent snatching theft

These safety tips will foster a safer and enjoyable honeymoon vacation to remember.
